- One of the most popular vehicles ever built was the iconic 73-87 GM square body truck. With a production run spanning almost 2 decades, virtually everybody has owned one of these trucks over the years. And if you didn’t own a squarebody yourself, all you had to do is turn on the tube and catch an episode of the TV show "The Fall Guy" to see the high flying stunts of a brown and tan, long bed truck with actor Lee Majors at the wheel. It was campy and crazy, but the stunts were real, and the truck was the star. The popularity of that TV show, coupled with the current explosion of squarebody popularity is what prompted Stacey David to create a modern, updated version of the classic Fall Guy truck on his TV show GEARZ, and call it the "The Stunt Double". Why Stunt Double? Well, In true stunt double form, it’s built to bear a strong resemblance to the original "star", but it’s also tough enough to do those crazy stunts that we love to see on the screen, and it’s a great way to pay tribute to all those unknown men and women that risk life and limb to bring movies to life doing those amazing stunts. You may never be an actual stunt double yourself, but now you can own the diecast of one!
