Author Biography
I've had a long career in technology sales. But I've also had a long, long love affair with technology. I've managed to combine the two into a role as "The Web Tools Guy." As luck would have it the combination of the experience and the passion has bestowed upon me a status I certainly never expected. I've been recognized as one of the leading authorities on Web Tools for sales, and I've found myself helping companies develop the strategies, implement the tactics, and choose the Web tools necessary to maximize sales productivity. By packaging both hands-on "how-to" training for sales Web Tools and incorporating the leading social media techniques and strategies into my presentations, I try to help business people bridge the gap between the "tools" and how they can be applied for a business purpose for optimal results. Of course, I found myself connecting with sales pros because I've walked the walk. I've been a part of technology sales organizations ranging from local startups through international giants including NYNEX and Dell. I've always been at ease at almost any point in the sales chain of command, from leading a sales organization to making personal sales calls on a regular basis. It helps me maintain the necessary understanding of what sales teams need and value in the most concrete terms. I also author a blog aimed at sales people called Fill the Funnel blog.
