Kim and her husband, Reverend Tony Barnett, serves in ministry at Sharon Baptist Church where they serve under the leadership of their pastor, Bishop Keith W. Reed Sr.

Kim earned her bachelor's degree in Bible from Philadelphia Biblical University in 2009. She then went on to earn her master's degree in human services with marriage and family from Liberty University in 2010. In 2019, Kim obtained her master's degree in theological studies from Liberty University.

Kim dedicates the rest of her life as a servant in ministry, author, and social service worker helping to heal broken families.
