by Jeanie Mossa Kraft (Author)
This playful guide is for all those who have had bizarre childhoods, experienced trauma or abuse - either physical or emotional - and lived in fear of their parents, teachers or guardians. The side effects of living as a repressed child may result in becoming an adult who becomes an overachiever, workaholic, and worry-wart with the inability to relax and play without guilt. Not intended as a substitute for professional therapy, this book is an eclectic approach to help free the trapped inner child who has been hiding inside many of us. With the help of whimsical spirit beings, the reader takes a magical journey into the Enchanted Forest O'Fae, a safe place to play, where no demons, monsters or negative actions are allowed.
Author Biography
Jeanie Mossa is a tree hugging artist, licensed acupuncturist and medicine woman. A survivor of 12 years of parochial schools, cruel nuns with rulers, uber-strict Italian Catholic parents, she went through some very scary stuff that we are just not going to mention in a book! She has a Master of Traditional Oriental Medicine degree from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. As an artist she works in mixed media and has created healing spirit dolls, jewelry and clothing in addition to the art in this book. Jeanie has written and illustrated three other books on holistic healing for pets and people. She has previously worked as a steel worker, a glass artist and was a waitress at the Last Supper. She lives in Alexandria, Virginia with her husband and a menagerie of animals, dragons, faeries and gnomes.
