by Boe Duransier (Author)
There were hundreds of Seattle bands in the 90s that most people never knew about. And I was in a bunch of them.
Years before Grunge was a part of our cultural lexicon, when no one outside of the Pacific Northwest had ever heard of Nirvana and Pearl Jam didn't even exist yet, a small town Montana boy with a head full of bad wiring came out to the Emerald City to play music. This isn't a "hero's journey" kind of story, even if I did have to battle a gaggle of demons along the way. Like, bipolar disorder convincing me I was destined for something greater while simultaneously telling me I didn't deserve it, substance abuse and addiction, and a cavalcade of unresolved childhood traumas gifting me with impulse control issues and psychotic episodes.
Hell, maybe this is my villain origin story?
Probably not, but... Whatever Man.
