by Anthony Day (Author)
Returning from her cousin's wedding Ruth Holland is involved in a car accident. She wakes to find herself lost and isolated at some out of the way, country railway station where the trains never seem to stop. The station has a guard, but he can't sell her a ticket and a schoolgirl who seems to delight in tormenting her. No matter what she does she can't escape and in the next 48 hours as is her destiny she will die. Trapped, Ruth is forced to confront her past, reflect on her decisions in life and value herself as she searches for a means of escape. A modern Gothic horror with all the class of Henry James, The Turn of the Screw, or an Edgar Allan Poe horror.
