To Clear a Static Field is about the stories we don't choose. At the core of painful memories is grief--a wound my father gave me and the losses I've endured. These poems, all pieces of an honest conversation surrounding anxiety, depression, faith, and tragedy, became my blueprint to emotional liberty.
Author Biography
P. J. Holliday is a literary writer based in Houston, Texas. She earned her MFA in creative writing at Regis University in January 2019. She graduated from the University of Houston in 2016 with a degree in poetry, where her honors thesis won the Outstanding Honors Thesis Award for 2014. Her poetry has been published in Apple News, Lily Poetry Review, and elsewhere.
