Coronavirus had frightened us all back into our homes, in isolation. Meeting in person was unthinkable. Poets Abbey Porter and Steve Delia forged a way around it; they found a way to bridge the gap, to promote the human connection, and to encourage the expression of the written and spoken word.
Their solution was a series of monthly readings, Thriving Thursdays, a sharing of poetry on Zoom. Better still, the two offered prompts to participants to inspire them, and to see the different viewpoints expressed in response to the same prompt.
The results are startling and exciting.
