There was The Boomer Bible, 800 pages of trashing my own generation. Then I did a graphic work called Shuteye Town 1999, which used an 11,000 word work called the Zeezer Bible to be the Intercolumn reference of a 3500 file graphic journey. The Zeezer Bible is about the X-Gen kids. It is nasty. But when Pat told me she had this file, I decided it was time for the Snowflake Bible. So here they are. Two of the most casually written works of scripture ever written.
Author Biography
R. F. (Robert) Laird was born in Salem, New Jersey, the son of a World War II fighter pilot and the grandson of a World War I infantry captain. As a member of the notorious Baby Boom generation, he came of age during the late 1960s and witnessed firsthand the radicalization of American college campuses, the explosion of the drug culture, and the sexual revolution. He was educated at Harvard University, from which he graduated at the age of 19, and went on to do graduate work at the Cornell University business school, where he observed former radicals and hippies rededicating their lives to the pursuit of material prosperity. After pursuing a successful career as a management and communication consultant, Laird took a sabbatical from the world of business in the late 1980s to complete a work of satirical fiction he had begun nearly 10 years previously. The Boomer Bible, A Testament for Our Times, was published in October 1991 by Workman Publishing of New York and was named by the Wall Street Journal as one of the 10 most significant books published that year. Since its publication, Laird has published Shuteye Town 1999 and Shuteye Nation, both blistering multimedia topical satires published on the web at Deerhound Diary. Has also published The Indictment, an Obama Diary, The ABCs of Shuteye Nation, The Lounge Conversations, Why is There a Boomer Bible, and Writing Down America. Meanwhile, R. F. Laird continues to work and write from his home in Salem, New Jersey.
