by Khenpo Tsultrim Gyamtso (Author)
The Fundamental Wisdom of the Middle Way was written in the second century and is one of the most important works of Nagarjuna, the pioneering commentator on the Buddha's teachings on the Madhyamika or Middle Way view. The subtle analyses presented in this treatise were closely studied and commented upon by many realized masters from the Indo-Tibetan Buddhist tradition.
Using Nagarjuna's root text and the great modern master Ju Mipham's commentary as a framework, Khenpo Ts ltrim Gyamtso explains the most important verse from each chapter in the text in a style that illuminates for modern students both the meaning of these profound teachings and how to put them into practice in a way that benefits both oneself and others.Front Jacket

9781570670992|JB|Flax is a nutritional powerhouse and a super-healing food. Even in orthodox medical circles it's being studied as a nutraceutical": a food with many nutrients and pharmaceutical properties. Everyone could benefit by adding flaxseeds to their diet, especially those who suffer from constipation, intestinal and digestive problems, high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol levels, and cardiovascular and other degenerative diseases.
Flax contains important essential fats, omega-3s and omega-6s, which are necessary for the proper functioning of many organs and are not produced by the body. It's also rich in lignans, which have antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal properties and may play a key role in the prevention of breast, prostate, uterine, and colon cancers.
Enjoy over 80 delicious recipes for using ground flaxseeds and flax oil by best-selling vegetarian authors Barb Bloomfield (Soups On!, Fabulous Beans) and Judy Brown (Natural Lunchbox, Judy Brown's Guide to Natural Foods Cooking). Siegfried Gursche, developer of quality flax products and publisher of natural health publications, provides information on flax and nutrition and how to incorporate flax into your daily diet.
