by Joseph B. Onyango Okello (Author)
Louella Goodman, a hardworking entrepreneur with strong Christian values, finds herself in the crosshairs of a powerful and corrupt business mogul who intends to destroy her business and take over her operations. When her business is vandalized and shut down, Rockville's police department opens an investigation--only to face interference from the mogul's agents who are determined to derail the case.
Detective Rick Mulley begins to uncover a conspiracy behind the vandalism, leading him to confront the hidden forces responsible. His search for justice puts him in danger, culminating in an attempt on his life through potassium cyanide poisoning. The attack leaves him fighting for survival as he continues pursuing the truth. Meanwhile, Louella wrestles with fear, uncertainty, and overwhelming pressure. Through the guidance of her pastor, she finds strength in prayer and witnesses firsthand how God orchestrates events to reveal truth, protect the innocent, and guide the city of Rockville toward spiritual renewal. Along the way, a touching and natural romantic bond forms between her and the mogul's nephew, whose attraction to her is based on her integrity and faith.
Together, Louella and Rick's journey becomes a story of justice, faith, community restoration, and divine purpose.
