by Eryn Harper Grey (Author)
Tess Davis is experiencing all that life has to offer a young, college educated women in 2009, which is basically nothing. At twenty-six years old, she is jobless, friendless, boyfriend-less and lacking everything else she felt the world promised her if she got a degree but then never actually delivered. It isn't until she has to give up her dog, Midnight, that she decides to take a risk and accept a position as a personal assistant to a man without a face or a name. Her only job is simple: deliver the envelopes to their destination and don't fall in love with the man without a name. Dr. Owen Wilson was nine-years-old when he fell down a well on his family farm. In that near-death experience, he found himself in a different home, in a different world, the world of Rhodora. There he meets a boy his age named Peter who he instantly gravitates towards. Though the meeting is brief and Owen is eventually rescued, he vows to dedicate his life to finding his new friend and this new world again one day. As children, Jennara and Kaughn Harden, citizens of Rhodora, watched as their parents were murdered by The Council, the totalitarian regime ruling their land. As a result, Kaughn spent most of his life staging protests and underground rebellions in an effort to overthrow this corrupt government. Jennara, however, kept quiet, lived by the rules and spent her life trying to stay out of trouble. Then the day came when The Council would take her brother one final time for a crime that could change their world altogether. When The Council is exposed for what they really are, Jennara is forced to find a way to save her brother and her world. All of these characters and their lives are woven together because of one man and one incident. The Realm is a story of bravery, of strong women, of unlikely heroes and above all, love.
