Author Biography

David Watson is an author and former educator with a BA in English and a BD in theology. After teaching middle school English, reading, and history for nearly fifty years, he retired to pursue his passion for writing. His first two books, Escape on the Underground Railroad and Fly to the North Star, are historical fiction adventures about Harriet Tubman written for young readers, the first of which is on the recommended reading list for students in South Carolina's Berkeley County schools. Married for forty-three years, Watson has six children and fifteen grandchildren.
