Sand Wash Basin is the home for the Wild Horses. There are over 400 animals in this vast area. The colors of these horses vary from grays to blue roans, chestnuts to paints, buckskins, bays, palominos. Some have unique markings and patterns, like Picasso, Hoot, and Cowboy.
Author Biography
John Wagner lives in the little town of Dinosaur, Colorado with his wife Sarah, daughter Megan & their dog Buddy. One of John's favorite pastimes is photographing the wild horses and other wildlife in NW Colorado. As John says, "Heaven to the Cowboy was spending time on the Open Range where he could talk to God in his own way."
