Author Biography
August J. Pettigrew is your typical girl next door. She was born in Mississippi but moved to Northern California, where she spent her formative years. She graduated from California State University, Sacramento and San Francisco, with a major in criminal justice and a minor in education. After thirty-six years of serving her community in county governmental employment, Pettigrew is now retired.
Pettigrew has authored several other books, including Starla's House, Magnolia: My Life in Poem, and J. Pheathers, Chickenographer.
Her passion for writing and interesting outlook on life have motivated her to continue her mission of enriching lives. She has two children's books and a book of short stories in progress.
