by Esther Luttrell (Author)
This novel is a psychological suspense in which Leigh Maxwell finds herself haunted by her past, terrified of the present and uncertain if she will live to see a future. She turns to her former love, Mark Hollingsworth, only to learn he had secretly hated her for years. Now he is engaged to a successful junior partner in his law firm and is determined to keep Leigh out of his life. He relents, however, when he realizes Leigh is being relentlessly stalked by someone capable of murder. When Mark insists Leigh hide away at his lakeside cabin while police investigate, she feels safe at last. The last thing she expected was for a killer and a storm to strike at once. The chilling ending will keep a reader guessing until the very last chapter. Warning: Do not read this book if you are home alone.
