by Gail (G D. ). Spilsbury (Author)
The Excavation Site takes the reader on an ancestral healing journey to personal transformation. The central metaphor of digging down through layers of self-childhood wounds and trauma, inherited family patterns, and the common shadows of shame, blame, and resentment-demonstrates how we can free ourselves of psychological pain that accumulates over time. The poems offer seekers and the curious the author's inner process of shadow integration; as she weaves together her dreamwork and ancestral healing, an inner portal to love and gratitude open. We learn from these poems that healing ourselves can also lead to healing our ancestral chain-past, present, and future.
