When Ani finds a large, glowing egg on the first day of summer break, it signals the beginning of a potential new life that is very different from the one Ani has been living. Together with her parents and brother, the egg leads the family to a passage that takes them to the inside of a mountain. There they find a self-sufficient community whose main purpose is protecting wildlife.

Endangered, and even extinct animals, have been rescued and are given a safe haven here in the wilderness that has been carved in the interior of the mountain.

As they are welcomed warmly into the community, the family becomes quickly involved in a rescue mission to find two brothers who have gone missing. It is suspected that they have been taken captive by poachers. Ani will need to find the strength and courage to help in this dangerous and difficult rescue or the very sanctuary of the hidden cave may be lost forever.
