Author Biography
Colonel George Holt Jr. had a 32 year career in the military, including three years as an enlisted Airman. He has a Master Navigator's rating and flew in a number of military bombers, including the B-58 Hustler. He was twice a Wing Commander, served in the Pentagon, was a Director at the National Defense University, and was the Director for Operations (J3) for U.S. Forces, Japan. He has a BS in Military Science and a Masters in Political Science. His many books include "The B-58 Blunder - How the U.S. Abandoned its Best Strategic Bomber," "Strategy - A Reader," and "Run Away to Glory - Helen's Story" a novel about a Vermont farm wife in the 1850s and her involvement with runaway slaves - co-authored with his sister Elizabeth (Holt) Palm.
