Author Biography
Joseph M. Barry (Budzynski) was a Marine, a son, a husband, a father, and a friend. He died on December 1, 2003 in Portland, Oregon at 80 years old. A veteran of Fourth Marine, 2-F-25 fought at Roi-Namur, Saipan, Tinian and Iwo Jima. He holds the Navy Cross, Navy & Marine Corps Medal for Heroism and the Purple Heart for wounds suffered on Iwo Jima. He was born in Yonkers, New York. Graduated from Manhattan College and worked for Phelps-Dodge&General Cable as Sales Representative. He has six grown children that live throughout the U.S.
