I first started working on the Bar M Dude (Guest) Ranch as a wrangler when I was 19 years old. I worked there for 3 seasons - usually from March through the first part of September. I also returned over 20 times to either help out or as a guest. Each of the experiences written about in this book actually happened, though my memory of incidents that took place over 40 years ago may differ slightly from the memories of the other participants in the activities. My apologies if that has happened.

Author Biography

Richard Dalke has his Master's degree in Counseling Psychology and has been a counselor for over 27 years. Prior to that time, he worked at many kinds of jobs, including dance instructor, wrangler, biofeedback therapist, salesman, minister, auctioneer, taxi driver, bus driver, long haul truck driver, dairy farmer, and others.
