The need for this text is further emphasised by the inability for the Court of Arbitration of Sports to properly define contexts when a breach of right has occurred and the commensurate compensation due to the fluid, flexible and non-concrete nature of sports which also necessitated the creation of the centre for sports and human rights to ensure proper context of human rights in sports, It also provides applicable legal principles that can be applied by both arbitration and conciliation panels in sports all over the world in resolving legal disputes and also help judges of courts in different jurisdictions to resolve human rights problems in sports
