I also prayed for insight of the American Indians who were brutalized along the Trail of Tears. Their plight and struggles were etched in my mind as I wrote this fictional story. I prayed that it could be presented in such a way to show the desperate journey inflicted on them by those who chose to live without law--without compassion--and without God. My prayer has been to touch the hearts of those who read the Legend of Panther Holler trilogy, which I was inspired to write.

Author Biography

Annie Clark Cole who has been compared to Louis L' Amour- met her husband James L. Cole a former American Airlines Captain when she moved to Dallas, Texas in the 1980's. They now live in Montgomery, Texas, approximately 65 miles North of Houston, Texas. Annie began writing in her early twenties but did not become a serious writer until after she worked on several movies. As a young girl, she loved all of the old time westerns, so naturally, she began writing what she loved. After working with a movie production company, she first became involved with writing screenplays, one which is seriously being considered for production. Although, she enjoyed writing screenplays her first love was writing books. Annie's style of writing is unlike others who write. Most author's write for commercial gain but Annie writes for the love of writing. As she begins her story, the characters become real people as they inspire her to relate the intimate details of their story. This is why Annie is considered by her fans to be a 5 star author. Now, that she has successfully completed and published her trilogy, which is the Legend of Panther Holler series, her last book Return From Panther Holler, has already touched the hearts of those who have been waiting for the final journey of Vick Porter and his family.
