Purposeful Parenting examines the nurturing of the four critical aspects of a child's life: intellectual, physical, spiritual and social development. It presents parenting as a journey, which starts from pregnancy to adulthood, laying emphasis on the effect of being purposeful through the journey and being mindful of the relationship between the present and the future.

Author Biography

Joy is a passionate mother, seasoned educator, school administrator and a counselor for adolescents. She holds a Master of Education (M.Ed) degree in Education Administration and a S.A.C. Diploma in Counseling Children and Adolescents. She has worked with children and teenagers for over twenty-three years both in her secular job and as a volunteer in youth ministry, ministering to both children and teenagers. She was a secondary school administrator for several years, which role she combined with heading the Counseling and Pastoral Care Unit as well as being the Child Protection Officer for the school, as an advocate for children. She is a youth minister in her local church and a trustee of Community Compassion Initiative (CCI), a registered charity organization in Nigeria that ministers to the needs of the under privileged in rural communities. Joy is married with three children.
