"Uncle T. B.'s school" was what my Grandfather Loggins would say when I asked him where he went to school. As a child and young adult I loved to look at the picture of my very tall grandfather standing on the porch of that school. Although the picture is in black and white, I knew from many discussions with my grandmother that Granddaddy Reuben Wilson Loggins had thick red hair. My focus was so much on him that I never asked who the others were standing with him or even what year the picture was taken. I knew from the tone of Granddaddy's voice that Uncle T. B. was a much loved person in the family but it has been since my retirement from teaching that I have begun to delve into Uncle T. B.'s life. Since Uncle T. B. and Aunt Addie had but one child, Beth, who had no children of her own, I must not let them be lost to time.
