Vanguardian and the Sentinels are attacked in the middle of the festival by a new supervillain calling himself Incarnate. Powerful enough to bring the entire team to its knees, Incarnate is revealed to not only be a new weapon created by the Necroleans, but also exposes Vanguardian's secret identity to the public.

Now they are plunged into a war against a villain more powerful than any they've faced before. A monster that not only risks bringing about an apocalypse, but one who now knows Vanguardian's identity and is determined to destroy those he loves.
