by Angela Davis (Author)
Children in today's times are faced with many issues that can be hard to discuss and even harder to comprehend. Several of those issues are prejudice, teasing, and low self-esteem. Prinsetta is a short story of a young African-American girl who encounters those issues on the playground at school. It addresses the issues in a manner that is both realistic and presented in a way for children to understand, and it gives the reader a look at how a negative experience can have a positive outcome.
