Author Biography

Sheri Powell and her husband Anthony reside in Florida. They have five adult children, one grandson, and a bouquet of family and friends. Sheri has an extensive chronicle of volunteering and mentorship with inner-city children, youth ministry, the Boys & Girls Club, and various women's groups. Sheri lives to encourage women of all ages that every season of their life has a purpose. Though Sheri possesses a Bachelor's in Church Ministry and an Associate of Arts in Christian Counseling, she does not let degrees or titles define her. God has given her a slideshow of her life. In it, the Spirit of the Lord God is upon her, and the LORD has anointed her to preach good tidings unto the meek. He is sending her to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, to open the prison to them who are bound ... and to comfort all who mourn (Isaiah 61:1-3 & Luke 4:18-19). Sheri is also the author of another published book titled Pausing With God: A Journey Through Menopause. She lives and breathes to simply do God's will. With an inherent desire to Share the Lord with People, Sheri founded and created the SLP Company. Its goal is to share available resources that can help willing participants be all that God has created them to be. Sheri looks forward to watching God show up and show His creation that He is who He says He is and will do what He has said He will do.
