Author Biography

After working as a labor and delivery nurse for many years, Esther developed a burden for women to have safe, positive birthing experiences, in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes. After returning to school to become a midwife and having her own practice for many years she has experienced true joy and satisfaction in what she believes to be her true life's calling. In the last 38 years she has assisted in thousands of births, both at home and in the hospital. Esther has seen the difference home birth has made in the lives of the women she has attended. Because of this she is now passionate about helping other women become certified professional midwives. She has developed a midwifery program for others who want to share Jesus' love through this ministry. Esther and her husband Jeff enjoy a very active life, hiking, backpacking, and traveling internationally on mission trips and speaking engagements. Jeff is an Engineer who specializes in Artificial Intelligence, and Sensor Modeling and simulation, and has been awarded many patents.
