Author Biography
Norbert Bufka was born and raised in Good Harbor. He has a BA in history and MA degrees in Latin and Pastoral Studies. He taught American history and Latin for seven years at Bad Axe High School, worked in sales for more than twenty years and then served as Director of Faith Formation at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic parish in Midland Michigan for nine years. In retirement, he wrote a monthly op-ed column for the Midland Daily News for several years and published three books: A Journey to Peace through Justice, Moral Values and Sound Bites, and From Bohemia to Good Harbor prior to 2013. He is married and has one daughter who is married and they have one son.
