Fifteen Mind-Boggling Tales from the Land of Enchantment Who Killed the Colonel and Little Henry? What happened to lawyer and civic leader Albert J. Fountain--a man known both for defending Billy the Kid and for taking on cattle rustlers--and his little boy, Henry? Their bodies were never found. The Curious Cowboy and the Mysterious Bones To friends, George McJunkin was an honorable, intelligent man. To strangers, he was a black cowboy, born a slave. He died never knowing that he'd found the first clue to an age-old mystery: When did humans first come to America? The Madness of the Mayberry Murders Beneath the calm waters of Bonito Lake, buried seventy-five feet deep, was the memory of an old mining town. And within that seethed the horror of unpremeditated, unexplained, and unpredictable murder. From the story of the lost Adams gold to the legends and legendary lawlessness of Lincoln, Myths and Mysteries of New Mexico makes history fun and pulls back the curtain on some of the state's most fascinating and compelling stories.
