Author Biography
Mr. Brown has been involved with drug use, abuse and addiction for thirty plus years of his life. He had been caught up in the maze of the street life for forty plus years where he has done five prison terms as he maintained the firm conviction that humanity owed him. Mr. Brown released in October of 2008. January of 2009 I was enrolled at Mohawk Valley Community College pursuing an Associate's Degree as a Chemical Dependency Practitioner and graduated in December of 2010. I went on to obtain my Bachelor's of Science Degree in June of 2013. However, I was determined to get as much credentials behind me as possible because I was coming in with a bad track record, prisons and no employment. I went on and obtained my Master's Degree in Social and Community Services in March of 2016. Since that time I have been enrolled in my Doctorate's Program until October of 2018 because my lifetime financial aid was used up. I am close to completing my Doctorate's program and looking for other financial avenues to support my completion. It is not an easy task but it's neither an impossible one. When I received my Associate's Degree I applied for my Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor-Training (CASAC). I received my Recovery Coach Certificate in December of 2010 and in January of 2017 I received my Certified Recovery Peer Advocate-Provisional. I received my CASAC in August of 2015. I worked in the Substance Abuse field from 2010-2017. To farther state my achievements, in July of 2015 I received my Certificate of Good Conduct fo9r the following purpose: to remove all legal bars and disabilities to employment, license and privilege except those pertaining to firearms under Sections 265,01 (4) and 400.00 of the Penal Law. I have dealt with many, many clients that shared their life story with me and it confirmed everything that I have written in the Mask of the Demons, Addiction from a Spiritual Perspective. I can guarantee you this book will touch and move people to change. It is encouraging, inspirational and heartfelt. It will truly get to the heart of the matter. Addiction reaches far beyond drugs. It is more than a mind thing; it is more than a disease. It is a spiritual deficiency. This book is a revelation and it will provide you with the keys to change your life. It is not a promise, it's the law.
