Love for the garden transformed Barbara Blossom Ashmun's life, inspiring her to become a designer, teacher, and writer. She's written this book and six earlier ones, as well as countless articles for magazines and newspapers. Her greatest joy is gardening on a sunny acre in Portland, Oregon, where beds and borders overflow with beauty for every season.
