Author Biography

Rev. Michelle Denise Limes, a native of Washington, D.C., is the proud wife of Pastor R. Sean Limes, mother of their three children, Marcus, Ashlee, and Aaron, and grandmother to Maya. Pastor and Co-Pastor Limes serve The City of David Ministries in Forestville, MD, under the leadership of Bishop Glen A. Staples, Th.D., D.Min, D.D., Senior Pastor and Presiding Prelate of the Temple of Praise International Fellowship of Churches, Inc. Co-Pastor Limes studied at Maple Springs Bible College and was licensed to minister in May 2001. This was followed by her ordination in October 2004. She is currently pursuing a degree in Psychology. God has placed a mantle of anointing on Limes to preach and teach the gospel in a relatable way that resonates with the masses. Limes is the CEO and Founder of iamConfidence, an organization created to support participants to confidently be who God has called them to be in the earth. This movement was designed to ignite confidence and self-worth in individuals to propel them into their Kingdom purposes within every area of their lives. Through programmatic workshops and worship services, iamConfidence participants receive social skills development, along with counseling and restorative sessions to aid in recovery from traumatic experiences. Additionally, Co-Pastor Limes is the owner Agape Enrichment Childcare and Imagine Summer Program for the Arts. Limes, an overcomer and mother to many in her community, and has an extensive background of service. She has served in various capacities in church. She has facilitated youth ministry, choir direction, worship leading, women's ministry, and marriage ministry. As her background suggests, she is willing and ready to operate in any assignment that God releases her to serve within. Limes also enjoys collaboration with others in ministry. One event she is proud of, Behind the Makeup, not only provided an opportunity for her to join forces with other women in ministry, but it also provided a vehicle to address issues that women cope with in silence, like depression. Limes has worked within the nonprofit sector for twenty years and has also worked FEMA under the f Department of Homeland Security. Limes stands on Psalm 91:1 (NIV), "Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty." This scripture exemplifies her understanding that we must all lean and depend on God for everything.
