by Dave Hovey (Author)
This is a story about seven decades of life. How many of us happy, semi-literate travelers wander and drift from one situation to another? School ended in the sixth grade, not so unusual for the times. The Navy was a place to find food, shelter, and clothing following a rather bleak couple of years. It was all pleasantly upward from then on. Sitting in the right hand seat of single-engine fighters was great fun. The flight deck crashes were scary, but enjoyable. Swimming in Esther Williams pool on the Isle of Capri was neat, being chased down the Riviera by Doris Day's bodyguards was not, along with being kicked out of the Monte Carlo. It has been an unusual three score and ten. Which supposedly the deity knew about in advance and for which I must be forever grateful.
