Letters from Diaspora is a collection of 12 short stories that focus on how Bosnians that survived the war and genocide in the early 90s are dealing with the aftermath of war and genocide, surviving it and dealing with survivors guilt. The stories range in focus on PTSD, nostalgia for lost loves and a lost home, to dealing with the adjustment of being an immigrant due to a war-torn country.
Author Biography
Arnesa Buljusmic-Kustura is a writer and activist originally from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. She currently resides in the state of Iowa where she works as an analyst and freelances as a writer. She is the founder and former executive director of the Bosniak American Association of IA. Her writing has been featured on media platforms such as the Independent, Huffington Post, Coming of Faith and many others. Letters from Diaspora is her first fictional book.
