Letters from Cicely is a compilation of nonsensical letters written by fictional character, Cicely Sponge to The Bavard Bar, a live entertainment show hosted by Tim B'vard, that blends talks with comedy. Cicely is a former flamenco dancer living in a slightly damp two-bedroom maisonette in Polegate with her long-term friend Alfredo (an Italian downhill skier) and a quintet of budgerigars. The book contains around 150 of Cicely's letters, many of which have been beautifully illustrated by artist Maria O'Neill.
