The main theme of this book is the woman's struggle to realize and define herself, and especially to break away in a man's world. The unique women figures, mostly from the Jewish culture, who take part in that struggle, were ahead of their own time and became pioneering examples for women across the world and throughout history. The feminine theme in the book is reflected through stories, rooted in Jewish sources and in oral folktales.

Author Biography

Ariela was born in Jerusalem. She was brought up in a conservative family with strict rules. Getting an academic education was valuable in her family, but getting married and having children was much more important for a woman. And so Ariela earned her first degree a few days after her marriage, and when she gave birth to her fourth boy, she suddenly understood that she had become a professional lion trainer... But Ariela was determined to realize and define herself as an Academic Researcher and as an Author. She now lives in Tel Aviv.
