Author Biography
Gary Pignatello started his career in the Newark, NJ School System in 1990. He has worked as a special education teacher and counselor at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. He also served as a guidance counselor, a Planned Parenthood instructor, and a school social worker. Dr. Pignatello was the founder of an innovative private/public school program for students with behavior issues and is a leader in the effort to foster meaningful collaboration between the public and private schools in NJ. He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a high school dropout, and holds state certifications as teacher, social worker, supervisor, principal, and superintendent, as well as a Ph.D. in Biblical Egyptology.
