Author Biography
ALEXA PATRICK holds fellowships from Cave Canem, Obsidian, The Watering Hole, and the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities. She has held various teaching positions including through Split This Rock, the Center for Creative Youth at Wesleyan University, and the University of the District of Columbia. She is currently the Programs Director for the non-profit writing program and publishing house Shout
Mouse Press. You may find her work in publications including The Rumpus, CRWN Magazine, and The BreakBeat Poets Vol. 2: Black Girl Magic. Her debut collection of poetry Remedies for Disappearing was published by Haymarket Books in 2023.
