Author Biography

As a teenager, Eleanor Rowe read Dale Carnegie's How to Win Friends and Influence People and was irrevocably bitten by the self-improvement bug. In order to write Waiting Games: How to Get Rich, Powerful, Sexy & Healthy While You're Killing Time (published by Facts on File), Eleanor drew upon 20 years of self-improvement from Aikido and belly-dancing to Yoga and Zen. Eleanor holds a Ph.D. from New York University. She has taught at N.Y.U. and Hunter College in New York City and The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. She is a veteran of TV and radio interviews, from the "Sonya Show" and the CBS Morning News to "Our Cultural Heritage" and "Panorama." Her publications include Hamlet: A Window on Russia and articles in Cosmopolitan and Reader's Digest. For many years, Eleanor has studied systems of mental, physical, and spiritual development.
