Author Biography
Gary Blanchard began his career in the addiction treatment field in 1998; he received a Masters in Addictions Counseling from Vermont College in 2002. Since moving to West Brookfield, Massachusetts, in 2006, Gary has a private practice, providing counseling in Ware, Massachusetts. Gary teaches at Holyoke Community College in Holyoke, Massachusetts. He is a licensed alcohol and drug counselor; in 2014 he was named Counselor of the Year by the Massachusetts Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors (MAADAC). Gary is the author of Positive Path Recovery and Counseling for Medication Assisted Recovery. He has presented at many local and national conferences. He is currently the President of MAADAC.
