Author Biography
Adam Alvarez is the Principal of InsuranceLinked, a consultancy that works with insurance linked funds and their investors. Adam has been involved with insurance linked securities since 2002 when he worked as a consultant at RMS designing the triggers for early parametric deals. He moved to Bermuda in 2005, where he helped to establish a new reinsurance platform within the Hiscox Group. During almost eight years at Hiscox, Adam built the firm's ILS portfolio and managed a variety of other business lines. Adam has a degree in Physics from the University of Oxford, an MBA from INSEAD in France and holds the ACII designation.
