These letters guide Sophia so she can listen with her heart when her ears are dismissing so many voices around her. Sophia wakes up every morning with a broken heart, and it is my mission as her mother to help her grieve in a healthy way and learn to live again with an open heart. I write her these letters and neatly tuck them away so she will receive them when she needs my words the most.At the age of ten Sophia Rose learned that her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, and five years later she was forced to experience the loss of a parent. The journey of Sophia Rose takes us through the process of grieving, depression, anger, and learning to hope and to dream again. The letters she discovers from her mother allow Sophia to learn life lessons about spirituality, dealing with life lessons, and most importantly to learn how to live after the loss of a loved one. Sophia Rose journey's through this loss by discovering her passion for pageantry and by realizing that she has the power to turn her most painful experience into her greatest achievement. You can learn these life lessons through Sophia's journey as this story reveals that nothing separates the love and bond between a mother and her child...not in life, and not even in death.
