The Old Town neighborhood of San Diego is the oldest part of the city. It is filled with a rich history and known for its famous spooky haunted house the Whaley House. However, the Whaley House certainly is not the only haunted building in Old Town. This book provides information for a short walking tour of the ten of the most haunted places of Old Town. For each location, a summary of the most common haunts is reported, along with a brief history of the people who resided in them. This way, one may get an idea of who may be haunting the place and why he or she might have been left behind.
Author Biography
The Ledgerwood Sisters were born and raised in San Diego. Their first experience with the Old Town haunted houses was at the Whaley House when they were in the San Diego Unified School District's Old Town history program for fourth graders. This program teaches kids about the history of San Diego. Over the years, the sisters have visited Old Town on many occasions and are very familiar with the area. From these visits and conversations with others about spooky experiences, they became curious about the hauntings and decided to investigate for themselves. This book includes the findings from their investigation.
