Harmony: Stepping into Life - is an anthology of twenty seven poems that deals with life and the indomitable spirit within. Here in the poems life is portrayed in its basic foundation of growth and glorification. Poetry is not only an aesthetic way to portray a matter but also a path to portray out life-in-art. Harmony tries to establish life and human spirit in its own but saluting those immortal figures like, Robert Frost etc. as how they mingled gravity in simplicity in such unsurpassed poems, 'Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening' etc. And, art has its own art of appeal and expression which will ever inspire the pursuer to have its part.
Author Biography
Hemanta Bora hails from Assam, one of the seven NE Indian states. He is presently serving as an Asst Prof. in the Dept of English at Jamunamukh college, Nagaon, Assam, India. Earlier to this, Bora published an Assamese anthology of poetry, "Joog" (- Joining). His present anthology is in plain language portraying plain thoughts - all about life, action, recreation, and beautification. Assam is the birth place of Srimanta Sankardeva (1449-1569 AD); an embodiment of 64 arts, social reformer, a Vaisnavite saint. Assam is well known for its natural beauty, British-planted Tea industry; one-horned rhinoceros; largest river island, Majuli etc.
