Global Diversity Haggadah provides a personal window into my life and identity as a Jew. I am sharing this book to provide my perspective related to a multicultural celebration of freedom. This Haggadah contains Torah verses, blessings and diversity and justice themed poems. It also includes suggested activities, songs and resources. It may be used as a supplement to a traditional Seder or as the primary resource.

Author Biography

Tarece Johnson, Ed.D. is a Mother, Author, Poet, Multicultural Expert, and Educational Leader. Originally from Houston, Texas, she moved to Puerto Rico to attend La Universidad del Sagrado Corazon earning a BA, and then continued her studies in New York City at Columbia University's School of International & Public Affairs, achieving an MPA. She later earned an MBA from Emory University's Goizueta School of Business and culminated her advanced training with an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Management with a focus on multicultural and multilingual education. As an entrepreneur, she founded Beauty & Glory, a natural hair and body care product line. Dr. Johnson's love for teaching and mentoring children and her commitment to quality multicultural education led her to create Global Purpose Academy and be the co-founder of Peninsula International Academy (in Belize). Dr. Johnson is the author of, The Global Purpose Approach, an educational resource designed to ensure that individuals acquire the knowledge, attitudes, skills, and perspectives to become effective, kind, compassionate, respectful, and empathetic global citizens. Her other books include, Ahava, a book of Shabbat meditations and affirmations and Butterflies in Fields of Corn, a book of poetry, prose, and affirmations. Dr. Johnson speaks fluent Spanish, intermediate level French, and basic Hebrew. She is currently improving her language skills in Mandarin. Dr. Tarece Johnson aims to make a difference in her family, community, nation, and the world through her commitment to education, culture, diversity & inclusion, multilingual learning, equity, social justice, acts of service, kindness, and love.
