My book is called From Dynasty to Party's Republic, like the subtitle suggests it's about the essence of Mainland Chinese political history. I hope, by giving my personal observation on Mainland Chinese politics, people can know better why Mainland Chinese have never been out of the circle of autocracy. And I don't want to make it insanely academic since this is by no means a thesis or essay; all of my historical references are based on easily/openly acquirable Chinese historical material.
