by Fernando S. F. Guimaraes (Editor), Ian H. Frazer (Editor)
The complete immunotherapy reference from basic science to clinical application
Immunotherapy has transformed treatment approaches for cancer, autoimmune diseases, and infectious conditions, yet no single resource has unified its foundational immunology with advanced clinical applications. Frazer's Foundations of Immunotherapy addresses this absence, offering comprehensive coverage co-edited by Fernando Guimaraes, a leading immunotherapy expert and Ian Frazer, co-developer of the HPV vaccine Gardasil. With coverage of CAR T-cell therapy, NK cell therapies, precision immunotherapy, and the microbiome's role in treatment response, this text integrates evolving research with practical protocols for students, researchers, and clinicians.
Readers will also find:
- Structured progression from basic immunology principles through cutting-edge therapeutic developments, bridging theory with clinical and research applications
- Coverage spanning cancer, autoimmune conditions, and infectious diseases rather than limiting scope to oncology immunotherapy approaches alone
- Practical protocols and clinical case studies demonstrating real-world application of immunotherapy principles across diverse patient populations
- Expert contributions from leading researchers from globally renowned research groups and institutions, ensuring authoritative, current content
- Extensive illustrations simplifying complex immunological concepts for advanced students, clinical trainees, and practicing professionals alike
This guide will benefit advanced students in biomedical and medical programs, immunology and oncology professionals, biotechnology researchers, and clinical trainees. Frazer's Foundations of Immunotherapy provides the structured pathway from fundamental principles to therapeutic applications that this rapidly evolving field demands.
