About the Author: I didn't learn to write poetry in a creative writing class or a systematized series of English courses.I began writing essays in an English 1 class. And in that class I was told of my creative ability. I continued to write at home for my own entertainment and that lead me to writing poetry. I began writing poetry in the mid 1980's.
